Grove Cranes

There are more than 25 models of Grove cranes. What are Grove cranes anyway, you may ask, and why should I consider getting one? Well, sit back and hear the story of Grove cranes.

In 1947, the Grove cranes company was founded in Pennsylvania. That company now has over half a century's experience in making work platforms and mobile hydraulic cranes. In 1978, Grove cranes expanded as Grove acquired the National Crane Corporation, then a major telescoping and hydraulic crane manufacturer. Another important development came in 2002 as Grove itself was bought by Manitowoc, one of the world's largest crane manufacturing companies. The original Pennsylvania plant remains the main manufacturing site for Grove cranes.

Grove cranes include all-terrain, truck-mounted, rough terrain, and industrial cranes. One of the all-terrain Grove cranes, the GMK 2035, weighs in over 50,000 pounds and can carry 35 tons of material at once! Perhaps the best aspect of this crane is that it can travel up to 48 miles per hour.

Another of the neat Grove cranes that you can find for sale is the RT9130E, which boasts a 300-horsepower diesel engine and weighs over 85 tons! Of course, since it carries up to 130 tons, this rough terrain crane can handle just about anything you throw at it.
